Typically, Ace Projects are funded by donation because they fall outside of what our schools normally budget for.
Sometimes a school or department will contribute funds if available. Most school funding is already earmarked for normal day to day operations of running our schools so these are very limited. Sometimes Bond funds are used if the project fits into an existing Bond category and scope. This is rare as most Bond projects are already budgeted and planned for. |
Details on ApprovalsStep 1 - Have your principal sign the form agreeing to the idea of your project
Step 2 - School secretary submits schooldude Work Order and attaches signed form Step 3 - Maintenance staff evaluates if project is physically feasible and sustainable. Must meet district standards. M&O communicates to other departments and manages project. Step 4 - Safety Director evaluates if project meets safety requirements, fire marshal requirements and ADA requirements Step 5 - Business Office determines if vendors are approved to work with the District and if project is large enough to need Board approval Step 6 - If all departments approve, Maintenance staff with let the school requester and principal know they have the greenlight to proceed with project. Step 7 - If donation, then school fills out Gift / Donation Form and turns in funds to the Business Office and acct is created for school to use Step 8 - School creates PO for parts or labor and lets M&O know Step 9 - Maintenance staff orders parts and/or schedules contractor. Step 10 - Maintenance staff meets contractor or if in-house work Check the Current Projects section to see where your project is in the approvals process. |
Timeline
Please submit forms and requests at least 3 months prior to your desired completion date. No guarantee that we can finish in that time but we will do our best.
Length of time for approvals varies. Once approved, size of project and available resources to manage the project vary and affect the timeline for completion. For summer projects please submit prior to Spring Break. |
Donation Forms
Many of these projects are generously donation funded and our school district certainly appreciate it. If items or services are donated a Gift / Donation form will also need to be filled out. Please mark the donation form with "ACE Project" and have it accompany the ACE form.
